Learnademy Strengthens Impact at the NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop in Kigali

09 Mar 2026 Events

Learnademy recently participated in the NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop, hosted by The New Africa Fund in Kigali, Rwanda. The week-long capacity-building workshop brought together leading social impact organizations from across Africa to strengthen their systems, leadership, and sustainability.

Representing Learnademy at the workshop were our Founder and CEO Muliande Alex and Managing Director Silviah Saitoti. Their participation marks an important step in Learnademy’s journey to expand its impact in education technology (EdTech) and improve learning outcomes across Africa.

A Community-Driven Milestone for Learnademy

Learnademy’s participation in the workshop was made possible through the support of our community, donors, and partners. During the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program Challenge Month last year, Learnademy secured a place among the Top 10 organizations, thanks to generous contributions from individuals and supporters who believe in our mission.

This achievement opened the door for Learnademy to join other changemakers at the NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop, creating an opportunity to strengthen our organization and scale our work in education innovation.

Advancing Quality Education Through EdTech

Learnademy’s mission is to improve learning outcomes through innovative and affordable EdTech solutions for teachers, learners, and parents. Across many African communities, access to quality education remains a challenge. By leveraging technology-enabled learning tools, Learnademy works to bridge gaps in teaching resources, support educators, and enhance learning experiences for students.

Workshops like the one organized by The New Africa Fund remind us how important it is to collaborate with partners who share a vision for equitable and quality education. Under the leadership of Mr. Steven Beck (President), the organization continues to support social impact initiatives that are transforming communities across the continent.

Capacity Building for Sustainable Nonprofit Impact

The NAF workshop focused on equipping organizations with the tools and strategies needed to operate sustainably and scale their impact.

Key training areas included:

  1. Nonprofit fundraising strategies for long-term sustainability
  2. Financial management systems to strengthen transparency and accountability
  3. Strategic communication and storytelling to amplify organizational impact
  4. Safeguarding policies, including child protection and the prevention of sexual harassment

For Learnademy, these sessions provided valuable insights that will help refine our internal processes and strengthen our organizational structures. This capacity-building experience positions us to deliver more effective education programs and digital learning tools to the communities we serve.

The Road Ahead for Learnademy

As Learnademy returns from Kigali, we carry with us new knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and renewed motivation to expand our impact. The insights gained from the NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop will play a key role in shaping our strategy as we continue to develop innovative EdTech solutions that empower teachers, learners, and parents.

We remain deeply grateful to our donors, partners, and community members who continue to support our mission of transforming education through technology. Together, we are building a future where every learner has access to quality education.
